Jorge Gaxiola

        He starts dancing at 6 yold.  And continue dancing up to date.

Graduate in Educacion Artistica in puebla,,Mexico.He start teaching at young age under the Secretaria de Educacion Publica ( SEP )en Cuernavaca,Morelos , witch gave him the opportunity to take classes at the Escuela Nacional de Danza in Mexico City under the Istituto Mexicano de Bellas Artes .

 

        At the same time he was part of the Ballet Folkloric Huehuetl from the Escuela Normal para maestros Justo Sierra en Cuernavaca ,Morelos with teachers from the Asociacion Folklorica del Estado de Morelos y Ballet Folklorico de Amalia Hernandez in Mexico, City. 

 

        Dancing a professional level at 23 years old. In Cancun ,Mexico . Same year he founded Ballet Folklorico OCOC_NAHAN and after 2 years he move to San Antonio, Texas in 1986 where he open Ballet Folklorico OCOC-CAN that after 10 years became Ballet Folklorico de Mexico at San Antonio de Jorge Gaxiola..

 Ballet Folklorico Guadalupano in Pottet,Texas for 29 years

 

Ballet Folklorico de Beeville, texas for 6 years

 

Miss 16 de Septiembre ,Beeville Texas for 4 years.

 

Ballet Folklorico del Cielo ( Ollimpaxqui Ballet Company of Dallas) for 10 years

             Estampas de Mexico at Folklorico Festival in Dallas Texas 

Colores de Mexico at the Arneson River Theater for Guadalupano Ballet Folklorico

 

            Also teaching and dancing for the 8 years in the Dance Program at the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center and been part of the Guadalupe Dance Company.   Where he has the opportunity of choreograph and performance for different programs:  

                 ---Ay Pedro at Guadalupe Theater in 2005

            La Frontera for Historias y Recuerdos at Guadalupe Theater for the 4th. year. 

            Alegria Mexicana with the symphonic of San Antonio for Fiesta Pops at the Majestic Theater for the 4th.year. 

 

Also is part of:

Senior Connection Program (social dance and exercises) under the YWCA & the city of San Antonio for the last 10 years 

 

In 2009 he create FAISAN ( Folkloric Association In San Antonio ,Texas) having a first performance at The ANGF ( Association Nacional De Grupos Folkloricos ) in Austin, and  Texas in July of 2009.

 

In 2011 he open the FAISAN folklorico dance academy to general public in the area of San Antonio Texas. Having the first recital for the dance academy at the CARVER CULTURAL CENTER presenting a program name Raices Con Mexico en la piel last November 2013.

 

In September of 2013 he starts teaching at ST GEORGE EPISCOPAL SCHOOL. Mexican Folkloric dance classes to 2nd.,3rd.,4th. & 5th. Grade students, passing the Mexican traditions and culture to all races and not only Spanish students.

FROM 2011 TO 2019. Faisan folklorico  IS BEEN LOCATED ON 5407 BANDERA RD. BEEN PART OF THE COMMUNITY. TEACHING AND PERFORMING AROUND SAN ANTONIO AREA.

 THIS 2024 WE WILL BE PERFORMING AT SEA WORLD  FOR SEVEN SEAS FOOD FEST FROM MARXH 23 TO MAY 27 2024.
